You’ll feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the doors of our Walthamstow salon (partly down to Gunel’s renowned play list, but mainly because of our approachable, but professional team).
We're a gender neutral salon in East London, so you’ll be charged based on the time it takes to do your hair. It means that all our prices ‘start from’ and may vary depending on the length and thickness of your hair.
THE E17 Salon
We love meeting new people and introducing them to the Harness & Mane, Walthamstow, vibe.
You'll find our E17 hair salon on Forest Road. We're a 5 minute walk from Blackhorse Road station and just 10 mins from Walthamstow Central.

OUR STORY
When your passions collide something pretty special usually happens. And that’s exactly what Harness & Mane is.
Salon owner Gunel has been in the hairdressing industry since 2005, and absolutely loves bringing your confidence and inner beauty out through your hair. Around the same time, she got involved in London’s alternative scene, being influenced by alternative fashion, music and events from this sub-culture.
Together with her husband, Hughie, they realised it was a good time to merge these interests and so Harness & Mane was born.
They hand-picked a team of talented and experienced hair stylists who thrive in our open, no-judgement environment and together they’ve created a salon like no other.
Today, we have a buzzing clientele of fetish models and designers from the alternative scene, but we’re also Walthamstow’s destination salon for professionals looking for a premium hair appointment in a luxurious yet unique environment.
We follow a gender neutral pricing structure, which means you pay for the time it takes to do your hair, rather than your gender.
